SocialTurns Council

SocialTurns would not be possible without the support of the SocialTurns Council. The council is made up of compliance, marketing, technology and financial services professionals who are pioneering social media adoption in the financial services industry. Pat Allen: Principal, Rock The Boat Marketing
Pat Allen is founder and principal of Chicago-based Rock The Boat Marketing, a consulting boutique that specializes in digital marketing strategy for asset managers, broker-dealers and other firms involved in the manufacture and distribution of investment products and solutions. Pat also runs AdvisorTweets.com, a Web site that aggregates the tweets of U.S.-based financial advisors.

Chad Bockius: CEO, Socialware
Chad brings 11+ years of enterprise software experience from companies such as Bazaarvoice, BetweenMarkets and Trilogy to Socialware, where he led marketing and product strategy before moving to CEO. Chad earned a Bachelors of Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University. He lives in Bee Cave, TX with his wife, daughter and son, where he also serves as City Councilman.

Pete Chiccino: EVP and CIO, The Bancorp Bank
Pete Chiccino is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at The Bancorp Bank in Wilmington, Delaware. He is responsible for the strategy, guidelines, policies and management of the Deposit Operations and Information Technology areas of the bank and manages a team of 200+ people.

Debbi Corej: VP of Compliance, Prudential
Debbi is a Vice President of Compliance at Prudential. She has been with Prudential for over 10 years serving in many positions and areas within Prudential’s Insurance Division and Corporate Compliance. Debbi came to Prudential with 20 years of audit, compliance and automation experience in the Financial Services industry.

Jen Dowd: Communications Associate, MFS
Jen Dowd is a Communications Associate in the Global Retail Marketing Department of MFS Investment Management, the company that created America's first mutual fund in 1924. In her role, she supports the firm's overall distribution strategy of marketing to financial advisors in the U.S. and abroad and she directly supports the marketing of key products, including U.S. retail mutual funds and 529 college savings plans. Jen is also a member of the firm's Web 2.0 project team, analyzing opportunities and driving business strategy around Social Media and other emerging technologies.

Julie Gebert: AVP of Compliance, Cambridge
As Assistant Vice President of Compliance, Julie has a key role in continuing the Cambridge tradition of a consultative approach to Compliance. Ms. Gebert is currently leading Cambridge’s launch of a social networking pilot for its Rep/Advisors, in keeping with Cambridge’s culture of innovation and desire to leverage new communication tools without compromising integrity or commitment to regulatory compliance.

Kip Gregory: Principal, The Gregory Group
More than 15 years of experience in marketing and senior management across insurance, securities, banking, brokerage and direct marketing has given Kip a unique perspective on how to achieve competitive advantage in the financial service arena.

D. Bruce Johnston: President & CEO, Advisolocity
Advisolocity works with financial services firms to develop social media strategy and content. DBJ Associates is dedicated to working with financial services firms in developing their distribution strategy.

Kristen Luke Principal, Wealth Management Marketing
Kristen Luke is the Principal of Wealth Management Marketing, a firm dedicated to providing marketing strategies and support for financial advisors. Based in San Diego, California, Kristen works with independent financial planners and investment advisors to develop effective marketing plans and provides the back office support required to implement the strategies.

Christina Nelson Senior Editor, Financial Planning Association
Christina L. Nelson is a senior editor with the Financial Planning Association, working on the Journal of Financial Planning, Practice Management Solutions magazine, and FPA Press. She also manages FPA’s Practice Management Center, the online warehouse and interactive community for information related to running a successful financial planning practice. In addition to researching, writing, and editing pieces about social media for FPA’s print and online resources, Christina has hands-on experience developing the FPA Practice Management Center Blog and FPA publications Twitter page.

Stephanie Sammons CEO, WiredAdvisor
Stephanie spent a total of 15 years in the financial services industry at two of the largest global wirehouse firms, Merrill Lynch and UBS, serving as a Financial Advisor, Branch Manager, and Regional Marketing Manager. Out of her passion for marketing, relationships, financial services and technology, Stephanie founded WIRED ADVISOR™ to help financial advisors, financial services firms, and strategic partners position for success in a wired world.

Stephen Selby Director of Regulatory Services, LIMRA
Stephen is a compliance professional with 20 years experience in financial services; Senior Editor of the LIMRA Regulatory Review newsletter; and speaker at industry events on regulatory compliance. Stephen’s professional interest in technology began in 1990 when he wrote a user’s guide for graphing software running on the NeXTSTEP operating system.

Jennifer Sussman Director of Online Marketing and Experience , American Century Investments
Jennifer Sussman is Director of Online Marketing and Experience for American Century Investments -- a global, privately-controlled and independent asset manager. She joined the company in 2000 and is currently responsible for establishing strategy and best-practice delivery for both online marketing efforts and interactive experience design for American Century Investments web sites and social media efforts. Through 18 years of marketing and brand management experience (including roles at Sprint and AMC), Jennifer remains focused on building benefit-driven client relationships.
